Kidneys: Organs that filter blood and produce urine
(kidneys)The kidneys are two bean-shaped organs located on either side of the spine, just below the rib cage. When functioning properly, they filter waste and excess fluids from the blood to form urine, regulate electrolyte balance, and maintain blood pressure. If the kidneys malfunction, it can lead to a buildup of waste products in the body, fluid imbalances, high blood pressure, and potentially life-threatening conditions such as kidney failure.
The kidneys can help other priority organs by regulating fluid balance, maintaining electrolyte levels for optimal function, supporting blood pressure stability, and filtering out waste, thereby enhancing overall bodily harmony and reducing stress-related emotional impacts.
Kidneys are often linked to emotions and feelings of fear, especially fear of survival, financial instability, and fear of the unknown. Malfunctioning of the kidneys can be associated with experiences of profound distress or feeling overwhelmed by life circumstances.
